Psalm 25:16-17 & Hebrews 1:3

What images come to mind when you read this passage? (Psalm 25:16-17)

These verses are part of a passage where the author, presumably David, is confessing his love for God. He's asking God for forgiveness of the sins of his youth and to forgive his iniquity though it is great. To me this passage, and verses 16-17, almost reads like a desperate love letter. David is desperately pining after God in a way that someone would write a letter to their crush.

What do you think we can learn about faith through this passage? (Hebrews 1:3)

The Son is the light of God’s glory and the imprint of God’s being. He maintains everything with his powerful message. After he carries out the cleansing of people from their sins, he sat down at the right side of the highest majesty. I believe what we can learn about faith from this passage is that God and humanity goes hand in hand. God wants us as humanity to live out our lives just like his son. I believe God is teaching us to live out our lives through our action, words, gifts, and our love for humanity.
