About Joining A Club
“Figure out when your university is having club night and then make an effort to check out as many tables as you can! It's okay to try a club once or twice and never go again. Sometimes you find the club for you immediately and sometimes it takes time. It took me time to find the clubs that felt comfortable but the community I gained from it was totally worth it!“

"Joining a club can be scary. When I first started college, it took me a long time to figure out where I belong. My social anxiety held me back from diving fully into social gatherings, clubs and communities that I really really wanted to be a part of. So much so that I stopped trying altogether for about a year of my college experience. I eventually found out that, personally, the only way to get over my anxieties were to face them head on. I explored all of the different clubs I was interested in until I found the one I felt most accepted in. (Thankfully, that club was CCW.) You’re never too late to join a club. You’re never too boring or weird or anxious or quiet. You’re never too different or outgoing or shy. There is a club out there that loves you and accepts you for who you are. You just have to find it! Others may have different stories or strategies for facing their fears, but this is what I wish I had known about joining a club :)"

"Joining a club was so important for me in college. I felt like I needed to find my people. I needed a group of people that could help me grow. CCW became that group for me and helped through so much personal growth. They really showed me who I wanted to be without me knowing who I was."
